Terms and conditions of reservation

These conditions apply to all bookings in our establishment:

Reservation, guarantee, deposit

No reservation can be guaranteed without a valid credit card number: Visa or Master Card.

Taxes of 14.97% not included, payable on arrival.

Valid ID required for registration: passport or driver’s licence.

A valid credit card is required upon check-in.

When you book, the equivalent of the first night will be blocked temporarily on your credit card.

Total payment will be required on arrival.

Minimum age for a stay in a dorm is 18 years old or accompanied by an adult in a private room.

We reserve the right to charge the first night for all bookings.

Booking modification, please note that the actual rate (at the time of the modification) will be applied.

Booking of 5 nights and more: payment of the 1st night in advance.

Reservations for 6 persons or more: payment of the 1st night in advance.

Refunds are subject to the conditions of cancellation of the hostel: 24h notice for direct bookings and BookNow and 48h notice and for any other kind of reservation.

Method of payment: debit cards, credit or cash.

Group bookings 

For groups of 10 or more people please email Coumba at : coumba@hostelmontreal.com or info@hostelmontreal.com or call 514-284-1276 for more information.

The person making the booking for the group is responsible for the reservation: quote, deposits, credit cards...

There are specific terms of cancellation for the groups.

Cancellation, No show

Cancellation Policy: 24 hours minimum for direct bookings and BookNow.

Late cancellation: first night charged.

Reservations made on our partner sites: the traveller has to cancel the booking himself. The cancellation policy listed on the website will be applied.

No-shows: the cost of the first night will be charged and the booking will be cancelled.

The hostel reserves the right to reject any reservation based on inauthentic information such as false bank details, invalid credit card, fake address, fake identity, etc.


Included in the price: Wi-Fi, breakfast, lockers in the dorm, bed sheets, towel, 24h security cameras, socket, television in the common room, fully equipped kitchen, roof top terrace, bedside lamp, luggage storage, reading area...

Other $: laundry, padlocks, adaptors, ear plugs...


Check in 3pm to 10.59pm. For late arrivals, notify us by phone at 514-284-1276 or send us an email. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Common areas: 07am- 11.59am

Breakfast: 7am - 9:59am

Check out: 11am at the latest.

Rooms and common areas

Check in the room 3pm.

Bedding: no sleeping bag, no personal bedding.

Sheets, blankets and towels provided for free.

Late checkout after 11am, fees will be charged automatically.

Loss of room key automatically results in a $ 5 fee.

Bedrooms particularly dirty, charges from $ 20.

All breakage or vandalism will be charged up to the damage.

The hostel cannot be held responsible for theft and loss or damaged items.

In the dorms, one bed is for one person.

Failure to comply with the house rules will result in the cancellation of the booking: hygiene, noise, safety, etc.

No animals allowed in the hostel.

Non-smoking hostel: $ 100 fine given to any offender.

Hostel non-accessible for disabled people.
